A PRACTICAL START

Getting started with
your Trezor device

Taking control of your digital assets begins with a few deliberate choices. A hardware wallet keeps the keys that authorize transactions offline, separate from internet-connected devices. Your Trezor is designed to help you manage those keys while keeping important actions visible and under your control.

Begin by visiting the official Trezor start page and following the instructions for your specific device. Connect it, install or open Trezor Suite, and check that firmware is current. During wallet creation, the device will guide you through generating a recovery backup. Record each recovery word in the correct order on paper or a dedicated backup card, then store it somewhere private and protected from damage. Anyone who obtains these words may be able to access your funds, so never share them or enter them into a website, message, or support chat.

Before confirming a transaction, take a moment to review the recipient and amount on the hardware wallet screen itself. Treat unexpected prompts with caution, keep your software updated, and use official resources when you need help. A secure setup is not a one-time task: careful habits, a protected recovery backup, and attention to what your device displays all contribute to responsible ownership over time.

Slow down, verify on-device, and keep your recovery backup to yourself.
